Polish Register of Shipping is an independent expert institution, with over 85 years of history, operating on the international market. The name “Polish Register of Shipping” may suggest that the activity of the institution is related only to shipbuilding and shipping - this is not the case, although supervision over the construction and operation of ships and other floating objects is a very important, traditional field of PRS activity. Currently, we successfully operate in many areas not related to shipbuilding and shipping.

• Ship surveys – classification and/or statutory surveys of: sea-going ships (including naval ships and special craft), inland waterways vessels, yachts and motor boats, floating docks, mobile off-shore drilling units, submersibles;
• Industrial surveys – management of construction contracts, construction projects and works, repair and modernization of onshore, offshore and, inland waterways technical structures and marine facilities;
• Certification of management systems – for compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 22000, ISO/IEC 27001 and many more;
• Certification of products – for compliance with European Union directives and regulations: 2014/90/UE, 2013/53/UE, 2014/68/UE, 2006/95/WE, 2016/425 and others;
• Certification of persons – certifications of persons welding inseparable metal joints;
• Engineering related consultancy – development of tailored software, CSR compliant stability and strength analysis, FEM calculations, simulation of floating objects in motion, non-class related technical and design support, quality and technical condition assessment (CAP), valuation of the market value of floating objects, financial supervision over vessels constructions, contract engineer services;
• Training services – on technical and technology, topics related to formal requirements for certification in compliance with ISO standards and EU law regulations, international codes and conventions as well as product and laboratory approvals.

• Organisation recognized by the European Union to perform technical inspections and surveys of sea-going ships and for inland waterway vessels,
• Organization authorised by several tens of Maritime Administrations to act on their behalf.
